  Some decades ago, we were looking for a place to eat in Bethany Beach in the off season. We came across this little deli and figured we would go in for a sandwich. When we walked in they had 2-3 tables on the side where they would serve dinner. We thought "what did we have to loose,we had the time". This cute couple cooked and served this delicious dinner. A few months later we tried them again. There was a waiting number of cars in the parking lot,
  
  Eventually they opened a restaurant. Over the years we have been there countless times. Even though their original chef left two? years ago the menu has stayed fresh. Our favorite maitre de left. We still are never disappointed. Great food, nice atmosphere.
  
  I have referred countless friends who have become frequent dinners. I have hosted friends who come back.
  
  Caveat ........NEVER ask for table 71. If I find you there I will get get back at you.... I can be very vindictive.
  
  NEVER ask for Sergio as you waiter. If he is busy when I am there your life will be miserable.

  A very good Italian dinner. There is a lot going on with their bolognese sauce. Very tasty. The home made ravioli is outstanding. Over the course of 30 years' visiting Bethany Beach, Difebo's is the best Italian restaurant we have dined anywhere along the Delaware and Maryland Eastern shores. We'll be back next year.
